Change Manager Dublin/Wexford
Job Summary
Zurich Insurance Europe AG, Ireland Branch is looking for a Change Manager to lead the planning, execution, and embedding of multiple change. This will range from incremental enhancements to large-scale transformation across the business. You will be a visible leader and trusted partner, championing robust governance, challenging both Business Change & Transformation and IT to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and genuinely benefit end users. You will promote accountability and readiness, shaping the way Zurich adapts and grows.
This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
Your Role
As a Change Manager your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Lead End-to-End Change: Oversee and coordinate delivery of multiple business changes (Across projects and small changes), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and that all governance requirements are fully met.
- UAT Management Across Projects: Plan, coordinate, and manage User Acceptance Testing activities across all relevant projects. Ensure UAT is integrated into project plans, testers are engaged early, and business scenarios reflect real-world use. Drive issue resolution and sign-off, ensuring testing outcomes are clearly communicated to stakeholders.
- Support Capacity Demand: Forecast, track, and support resource requirements across projects and change activities. Partner with business and IT leads to balance capacity, address bottlenecks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Challenge and Influence: Proactively challenge business areas, Business Change & Transformation, and IT teams to drive solutions that deliver real value for end users, addressing risks and obstacles directly.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct stakeholder analysis, create and maintain engagement plans, and build strong relationships to ensure support and successful adoption of change
- Business Readiness: Define and own the Target Operating Model (TOM) with senior stakeholders, assess the impact on all business areas, and ensure readiness through detailed, actionable plans.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all changes comply with Zurich’s governance framework—tracking progress, managing risks, and securing sign-offs at key stages.
- Training & Communication: Lead training needs assessments and deliver clear, effective communication and training plans to prepare teams for change.
- Implementation & Benefits Realization: Oversee smooth transition from project to BAU, with processes in place for incident and problem management. Track and report on the outcomes and benefits realized.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather and analyze feedback, conduct lessons learned reviews, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across Business Change activities
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of general insurance products, processes and terminology
- Experience working in an operational, underwriting, claims or customer-facing general insurance environment
- Collaborative team player who can work across business and IT
- Experience in developing and delivering training and communication plans
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in parallel
- Comfortable working to tight timelines and re prioritising based on business needs
- Experience working within structured change or project frameworks (e.g. change governance, project lifecycles, CAB, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders to meet deadlines
- Professional qualification in change or project management (e.g. Prosci, Agile, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential)
Additional Information
Primary work location is Dublin/Wexford based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
